2016 was a busy year for BlueFrame Technology. We have been working hard to bring all of our broadcasters (and future broadcasters!) the very best end-to-end service and software combination in the video streaming market. After the numerous improvements we’ve made in 2016, we think you’ll agree. Check out all of the milestones that BlueFrame has reached below:
40% of the market owns an OTT (Over-The-Top) device. Consumers are finding it easier and more affordable to try “cable thinning” by cutting out unnecessary cable or satellite television plans. BlueFrame is leading the way in providing organizations access to these platforms, having already released multiple apps for different organizations. BlueFrame has experience building Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Roku apps. Your organization can be on the cutting edge of this new market as well! If you’re interested in learning more about our OTT app development, contact our team today.
SOCIAL MEDIA SHARING
The modern world lives on social media. In 2016, BlueFrame made it easy to share statuses, still images, and replays immediately from the Production Truck software to Twitter and Facebook. Producing short form content has never been easier.
That’s right, BlueFrame made it’s first foray into the world of live streaming production. Our production team streamed 8 different NJCAA National Championship events for soccer, volleyball, and football. All streaming was done with our Production Truck software, no expensive television production trucks or third party encoding hardware.
We were also able to leverage the social media sharing capabilities in Production Truck to make over 300,000 twitter impressions over the course of the NJCAA fall championships. If you want to take a look at the events that we produced, you can find them on the NJCAATV website here.
We released a new suite of graphics for the new year! If you haven’t had a chance, check them out below –
RESPONSIVE WEB WIDGET
BlueFrame’s ability to deliver content where our customers want it has also been a point of pride, and it’s been improved with the embeddable broadcast widget that we released this year. This widget is responsive and mobile-friendly. It’s colors and features are also customizable by the broadcaster.
HTML 5 VIDEO PLAYER
You may have heard that flash is dying. Don’t worry, we’ve planned accordingly. We’ve built an HTML5 video player for when Flash finally goes the way of the dinosaurs.
FACEBOOK LIVE THROUGH PRODUCTION TRUCK
Production Truck not only has direct integration to Facebook via our social media sharing feature, but it now has the ability to stream directly to FaceBook live using this integration as well. Contact our support team if you would like to learn more about this integration!
4 CAMERA REPLAY
Yes, it’s true. If you have 4 cameras connected in Production Truck, you can capture replays from ALL of them. We can confidently say this instant replay feature is the best in any live streaming software application on the market.
If you’re not familiar with NDI, you can click here to read up about it. NDI is a whole new way to connect cameras and devices via a network.
3RD PARTY STATS INTEGRATION
We are now able to integrate with 3rd party stat services to give live stats on the same page as our customer’s broadcast widget. If you want to see this in live action, check out any live GLVC broadcast on their digital network home page.
PAY FOR DOWNLOAD
Our customers now have the ability to turn on downloads on the broadcast widget. This means that viewers can download any archived broadcast directly from the broadcast widget, while returning revenue to the broadcaster.
PRODUCTION TRUCK IMPROVEMENTS
In addition to all the other updates we’ve made to our service and software, we’ve also been hard at work releasing new updates to improve our instant replay capturing and our social media sharing features.
All in all, we’ve had a busy year, but we know it will be even busier in the future. We have you, the broadcasters, viewers, and BlueFrame fans, to thank for our success so far. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please email us at email@example.com. If you or anyone you know is interested in starting live streaming for a new organization, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for a great year!
Josh Braun, Director of Sales and Customer Service
